Our journey of friendship began in January, 2012. We both sat in a "Hints" class - how to survive in Belgium - wondering just how much our lives were about to change. Our husbands' jobs had just introduced us to the world of expat life. Although we didn't know each other while living in the US, our stories were unfolding quite similarly.
We had both put our careers on hold, embraced the move to Europe and were determined to make the most of our time in Belgium. One thing was clear: judging by the breathtakingly-beautiful photos in the Vastine house and the eye-catching eclectic art in the Gibson house, we both are storytellers. We love telling the story of who we are, but more important, who we strive to be.
It was just a matter of time before we would become brave enough to trust ourselves with our cameras and confident enough to realize that we have stories and experiences worth sharing. If you come across one of our shots that moves you, please let us know. Like our page, comment often and share us with your friends.
When we are older and perhaps our memories aren't what they used to be, we hope that our photos will tell the story of who we are and more important, how deeply, curiously, courageously, humbly and compassionately we have tried to live.
We started this craft through a serious of projects in 2012. Now the projects are set aside and we have entered the world of photographing others. Go ahead, reach out to us...We would love to tell your story!
