....and everything nice...that's what little girls are made of. WE had the pleasure of photographing one of the sweetest new additions to Brussels who was just seven days old! Miss C was welcomed by her beautiful and loving first-time parents who have spent the last three years living in Brussels. These avid travelers will now share their adventures with their new little travel companion. WE have a feeling her passport will be filled in no time at all. We enjoyed spending the afternoon capturing this brand new family in their beautiful home in Brussels. They have the greatest view of the city, but I think their sights are now only on this little sweetie. She has not only captured their hearts but our's as well. Thank you Joe and Kristen for sharing your precious little one with us. Congratulations! What a lucky family!
It truly is a small world! I met Jane while I was teaching a class at The American Women's Club. After talking for a while, I realized that we both had lived in Indiana, in the same town and in subdivisions that were right across the street from each other...and to make matters even more interesting, she had been the next-door neighbor of my daughter's best friend! It gets better! We both have three girls, but she and her husband had the privilege of raising the three of them altogether - triplets!
The girls were home from college and with busy travel schedules, only one day would work to photograph their family – the morning after Christmas. Turns out this worked just fine, as it gave me a reason to get one day of rest and packing before heading off to our Christmas vacation on the 27th.
I was so excited to meet the girls this lovely couple has raised. They are all unique individuals and are truly a reflection of their parent's love and compassion. Kudos, Mom and Dad, on raising such beautiful girls - inside and out! As I walked through their home, I couldn't help but notice a sign that said, "Things happen for a reason...Just Believe." And in that very moment, I knew it was true, WE had met this lovely family for a reason...
Leading up to the Christmas holiday was busy for WE Photography. We decided not to spoil Christmas cards for clients and didn't post a blog entry for many of the clients that we photographed. Now that the holidays have passed, we though we'd post a few from one of the most genuine families we've met.
I didn't know this family when they booked a session with us. I had only heard great things about Jodi and was very excited to meet her. She and her family proved to be exactly how friends had described them. I do believe a mutual friend of ours put it best when describing Jodi: "Jodi Keller" is amazing and I'm so happy you are getting to know her. She is incredibly thoughtful and genuine. She is caring, a deep thinker, an incredible mom and friend. I loved every minute we spent together and miss her dearly." I'm not sure I could say a more kind word about such a beautiful person and her family! Thanks Heather for the wonderful quote. Thanks Keller family for trusting WE Photography with your family photos and thanks for being the lovely family that you are.
WE were excited to get the holiday shoot season started! With no official Thanksgiving in Belgium, we find it easy to get into the holiday spirit a littler earlier around here. This shoot location was definitely one of our favorites. Imagine you've found the perfect, quaint European home. Tuck it into the middle of the city, in a gated neighborhood, with public transportation access across the street. Not only do they have great neighbors, but they have a gorgeous pond, trees, and wildlife too. I think it's safe to say they found a real gem here! Our backdrops were endless in this little neck of the woods in Brussels. And the family….well look at how picture perfect they are. What a treat to spend the afternoon with them! Thank you Nikki for choosing us! WE have loved getting to know your family, and WE are looking forward to more fun and adventure in the future!
Aliza had the best idea! Her husband Gal's birthday was just around the corner, and she wanted to give him something really memorable for this very special birthday. It had to be a gift he would love, leave him speechless, and be something he absolutely would not expect. So, while he was out of town, WE met with Aliza and the girls and captured images of them for Abba's (father in Hebrew) big day! WE were beyond thrilled when we received a text from Aliza saying how much he loved them. Brought to tears LOVE! So heartwarming! WE love a good surprise.
A few weeks later, WE were able to get the whole family together to finish out the shoot with great family shots, as well as shots of Gal with Aliza and the girls. It's afternoons like this that WE enjoy so much. A terrific family that exudes love. Thank you Aliza for your terrific birthday idea and including WE Photography in on the fun.
Wendy and I fought over who could write this blog because this family is just that special to us! The mom in this family is also named Wendy (we'll call her Wendy WS because Wendy V would die if I referred to them as little Wendy and big Wendy!…As some people have…Don't get Wendy V started on that one.) But, most of us just know them as Wendy Squared.
Wendy WS served as President of the American Women's Club of Brussels while we were both board members. Never have I seen anyone give so tirelessly of herself in a position that can be both rewarding and draining. During our time serving under her lead, we became great friends. For every tough day or fun day, she's somehow been there. Even more special to me was that she made the trek to Jamaica with Dwight and I to celebrate the Renewal of our Vows( 15 years) with her awesome husband, Sebastien, their kids and her lovely mom.
Scheuremans family, you will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We hope you enjoy your pictures. We know it was a tough day for pictures with the rain, but we think they look great! And here's to being the first clients to already have Christmas cards designed - for the second year in a row!
